
The workshop on Applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI), taught by high-profile instructors in academia and industry experts (from Facebook AI and Google Self Driving Cars/Waymo), provides an excellent opportunity for students to learn about artificial intelligence through instructional and hands-on training activities. The workshop includes multiple components such as:
- AI in Natural Language Processing
- AI in Smart Cities and Autonomous Vehicles
- AI in Environmental Informatics
- AI in Digital Media
- AI in Music
- AI in Education
- AI at Home
In support of the Applications of AI initiative in the state of South Carolina, and in collaboration with the South Carolina Council on Competitiveness, the Data Science program at the College of Charleston is organizing a 3.5-day workshop to provide learning opportunities in this field for students who were impacted by the pandemic. The outstanding instructors from high-tech companies and distinguished faculty members will teach how AI can be integrated into different fields of science and technology. The workshop will be held in our beautiful harbor walk facility at the College of Charleston.
Food and refreshments will be provided.
When: Tuesday, Aug 2nd – Friday, Aug 5th
Tues: 1–5 p.m. || Wed–Fri: 9 a.m.– 5 p.m.
Who: Any student who is interested in learning about artificial intelligence (computer programming background is NOT required).
Cost: FREE
All the applications that are submitted by the deadline will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the workshop reaches its capacity. Applicants need to submit a one-paragraph statement of interest. Please submit your online application by July 16, 2022.
